SHR & E-Light (OPT)
SHR (Super Hair Removal) is a new technology of long term hair removal which has been hailed a huge success and is now the preferred hair removal process over IPL (Intense Pulsed Light). The Halo benefits from the addition of OPT (Optimal Pulse technology) which is the perfected pulse of SHR with our improved handle, ensures that every single laser shot is effective, providing a minimum of 500000 flashes.
The working theory involves heating the dermis to a target temperature gradually, at that target temperature it fragments the hair follicles and effectively prevents re-growth, and this is where SHR outshines IPL, it avoids injury and unwanted side effects to the surrounding tissue. A high repetition rate of single pulses are delivered deep into the dermis, achieving a high average power and therapeutic heat build-up, without the risk of injury and virtually no pain. Unlike IPL the Halo is safe and effective for all skin types, even those with sensitive skin.
Nd:YAG Laser & Double Rod Handle
Adopting the Q-Switch Nd:YAG model, the Halo can emit high energy instantaneously, smashing the pigment within pathological tissues. High energy disperses in particular wavelengths, penetrating the epidermis and breaking into the pathological pigment tissues in only 6nms. The pigments then expands at high speed and shatters. The superficial epidermis is then bounded out of the body; other parts of the pigment split into granules that are engulfed by macrophages, then they are excluded by the lymphatic system. The pigment will gradually fade, finally disappearing while the surrounding normal skin tissues remains untouched. The upgraded double rod handles can produce a minimum of 600000 shots providing a more time and cost effective treatment.
Tissue tightening with the Bi-polar RF is the newest and most advanced non-laser, non-ablative radio frequency (RF) system available. Bi-polar RF with FACES (Functional Aspiration Controlled Electro-thermal Stimulation) delivers radio frequency energy deep into the dermal layer using a unique bipolar hand piece. The RF energy gently heats the soft tissues beneath the multiple layers of the skin and causes the collagen to contract and tighten. Each treatment is customised through the system’s advanced computer to control the depth of the heating process.
The specially designed shock resistant hand piece will not warp due to the generated heat. The YAG bar and xenon lamp are contained in ceramic silver-gilt lumen, providing high temperature resistance and high reflectivity resulting in minimum energy loss, produces stronger power and a more effective delivery of energy.
